Karen Marshall is a classroom, whole class instrumental, visiting and private music teacher with more than 30 years’ experience. A widely published author (26 titles to date), she is also special needs trained, specialising in working with neurodivergent students. She is on the British Dyslexia Association’s Music Committee and trains widely in this area, specialising in multi-sensory music teaching. Both a school and academy trust Music Specialist and Lead, she excels in curriculum design that is accessible for all, while also reflecting the unique nature of every school setting. She is a regular contributor to Music Teacher magazine and spoke recently at the Music and Drama Education Expo, where she outlined her recent experiences in a section 5 Ofsted Music deep dive.
